LANSING, Mich. — (Dec. 9, 2025) Main Street advocates scored another win this past month with the facade improvements made by Grand Ledge’s Homebrew Tabletop Game Lounge. Through the support of the Tri-County Resource for Entrepreneurs and Knowledge (TREK) Small Business Support Hub (SBSH), Homebrew has been able to improve their brick-and-mortar location, adding curb appeal to the business district. The investment showcases the broader goals of the TREK Small Business Support Hub’s manager, Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP), which includes directly contributing to local business success and community revitalization.
Homebrew Tabletop Game Lounge is a local space where members of the community can reconnect, laugh, and play with friends and family. Over 700 games are offered to customers who sit at tables around the open-spaced, cafe-style lounge. The business received $8,500 in small business support grants via the TREK SBSH, including a new exterior signage to enhance visibility and curb appeal, with the remainder supporting marketing and advertising efforts.
“It has been a pleasure to participate in LEAP’s accelerator program,” said owner Jeff Croff. “Their facilitation of grants has garnered greater visibility for our business and helped to raise awareness of our offering. We anticipate the signage will help us grow our local customers, while the advertising has increased our reach throughout the tri-county area and beyond. We are grateful for their assistance.”
“Homebrew Tabletop Game Lounge is an excellent example of the fierce advocacy shared by LEAP and the city of Grand Ledge in support of unique, creative small businesses,” said Bob Trezise, president and CEO of LEAP. “We’re seeing improvements like this across the region, each one playing a significant role in supporting Main Street revitalization. LEAP’s TREK Small Business Support Hub is uniquely designed to deliver important resources like these improvements and we are pleased that Grand Ledge has been so supportive of their main street businesses.”
The TREK SBSH simplifies the process of accessing crucial resources by offering an easy-to-use, online, centralized intake form that automatically connects entrepreneurs to comprehensive business operation and marketing support from providers throughout the Lansing Tri-County Region. The intake form can be accessed at PureLansing.com/Startup or directly at this link.
“The City of Grand Ledge greatly values all of our small businesses and wishes them much success,” said Adam Smith, City Manager, City of Grand Ledge.
Based on 2025 data, LEAP small business program participants and alumni contributed to 529 full time equivalent (FTE) jobs created, including 197 full-time employees, $30.78M in outside investment made, $40.13M in business revenue generated, 813 new products or services launched, and 58 brick and mortar business locations opened across the region.
