Last week, over 1,500 movers and shakers from across Michigan convened at the Detroit Regional Chamber’s 2025 Mackinac Policy Conference to build meaningful relationships and partnerships and hear noteworthy conversations with business and government leaders on driving Michigan’s continued success.
This year’s theme focused on “Michigan’s Equation for Impact,” where vision and tools meet action to make an impact.

Last week, the Chamber released findings from its latest statewide poll of 600 registered Michigan voters in partnership with The Glengariff Group, Inc.
The poll posed key questions on topics such as the economy, inflation, tariffs, and democracy.

The public comment period for the permits needed for the construction of the Great Lakes Tunnel for Enbridge’s Line 5 has opened, and the Chamber is calling upon members to submit public comments supporting the permit approval before June 30, 2025.
Why it matters: “Line 5 is an important piece of energy infrastructure for the continent, providing Michiganders with critical light crude and propane extracted from Canada,” said Brian J. Shoaf, Vice President of Public Policy and Business Advocacy at the Chamber.
