Cindy Kangas is Executive Director of the Capital Area Manufacturing Council, which includes Ingham, Eaton, Clinton, Livingston, and Shiawassee counties.
A lifelong Lansing resident, she takes great pride in things being made in our state. Her passion lies in changing the narrative of manufacturing to encourage the next generation entering the talent pipeline. Since starting her manufacturing career, she has created Women in Manufacturing and HR Special Interest Groups.
She enjoys touring factories and learning about the employees behind the products. Her background includes working in the nonprofit sector. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her four children, visiting Lake Michigan, and attending concerts and Broadway shows.
