Beware of toll text scam!

The Michigan Department of Transportation is warning Michiganders of a recent phishing attempt that requests users pay an overdue toll. 

As a reminder, Michigan does not operate toll roads, and will not solicit payment via text message.

Celebrating Pride Month

Michigan’s economic growth depends on welcoming people of diverse backgrounds, ending discrimination, and attracting and retaining top talent from around the world – including ensuring Michigan is a welcoming state to the estimated 373,000 residents who are members of the LGBTQ+ community. 

Michigan celebrates LGBTQ+ individuals this month and recognizes the work that must be done to continue building a more fair and just state for all.

Youth Employment Month banner

June is Youth Employment Month

Youth Employment Month is celebrated each June to help raise awareness about the importance of youth earning valuable skills and training for the future. This year, 260,500 young Michiganders are expected to enter the workforce.

The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO) partners with local businesses and Michigan Works! agencies to develop and promote productive opportunities for youth, ages 16-24.

LEO also offers career exploration through Pathfinder and programs that promote equal access to career exploration and employment for youth with disabilities via the Bureau of Services for Blind Persons and Michigan Rehabilitation Services.
