International Business and TradeChina’s export trade looks like it’s improving but that’s only because it’s been down for much of the year. The WSJ reports exports grew 2.8% in June, a meager gain over the 2.5% decline China reported in outbound trade flow the month before. Some of the continuing weakness in trade is the result of weak demand from the U.S. and Europe, but it goes beyond a sluggish global economy.

Most colleges can’t keep their doors open without an accreditor’s seal of approval, which is needed to get students access to federal loans and grants. But accreditors hardly ever kick out the worst-performing colleges and lack uniform standards for assessing graduation rates and loan defaults.

Chicago O’Hare to Knoxville was the most frequently delayed route in the U.S. in 2014, according to exclusive new Bureau of Transportation Statistics data. While the worst-performing flights have been tracked before, this is the first time BTS has processed all flights on a route over a full year, yielding a more useful guide to trouble spots for travelers.
