For prospective business owners, this course is an introduction to the different types of legal entities that are appropriate for structuring a new business to help protect them from unnecessary legal challenges. Those already in business will learn about business liability issues, along with basic elements of a contract, collections, licenses, registrations, employment, property issues, leasing and insurance. Also covered is intellectual property including copyrights, patents, trademarks and privacy policies.
