Michigan Business Network attended this years Mackinac Policy Conference 2017, where the AARP Hosted Program: Experience for Hire was on site. This session addresses one of the top issues that many businesses have, which is a shortage of qualified workers. Faced with this shortage of talent and the declining proportion of younger workers, there is an opportunity for Michigan employers to turn to older workers to gain and maintain a competitive edge.
