Chris speaks with Lisa Gustafson, Executive Director of Business Customer Care, at Consumers Energy, and Carolyn Cassin, President and CEO of the Michigan Women’s Foundation (MWF), in Detroit, Michigan.

MWF is a statewide program that has been around for over 29 years. Carolyn gives insight on how the agency advocates for social and economic equality for women and girls in Michigan communities. There have been over 600 women that have come to their agency, looking for assistance, because of countless resources that is available for them, including micro loans.

Lisa Gustafson, of Consumers Energy, discusses the initiative they have forged, along with the partnership they have formed with MWF. She points out the grant that was awarded to MWF. Both groups are proud of the series of events in September and October, including the first-ever “Dolphin Tank” events happening on September 24 and 25, 2015. Both events are free and open to the public.
