Will People Abandon laptops in Favor of an iPad Pro?

TechnologyAs consumer demand for iPads has hit a plateau, with slower replacement cycles, demand for tablets in enterprise, and especially for iPads, has been increasing. The percentage of tablets in use for business is set to increase from 14 percent in 2015 to 20 percent by 2018, according to new research by Forrester.

More than half of the information workers surveyed by the research firm reported that they already use a tablet at least once a week for work, many of them on personal devices, as their companies have not yet developed corporate policy to issue tablets.

There is a serious possibility that the iPad and laptop will merge with this latest news. Does this mean we will see a believable future where it takes the mobile workforce by storm, and people abandon laptops in favor of an iPad Pro? This could well mark the twilight years of Windows’ dominance in business, and Microsoft is saying they can see it as well.
