What will 2015 look like for automakers?

auto-newsHost, Steve Purdy, is joined by his friend and colleague, veteran automotive journalist, Bob Gritzinger, formerly of AutoWeek Magazine for a wrap-up of 2014 and preview of 2015 in the automobile business. Bob is contributor to BCarChic.com and the new Website, AutoWeb.com, while doing freelance work for a variety of publications. Bob and Steve talk about the auto industry’s strong showing in 2014 and what to expect in 2015 plus wide ranging discussions of specific vehicles, technologies, powertrains and related topics.

Segments one and two are a 2015 Recap – the year saw a doubling of the previous record for recalls and a near record new car sales. Major automakers moved headquarters and major functions to unexpected parts of the country.

In segments three and four, we take a look at what ;we’ll see at the 2015 North American International Auto Show this week: Audi Q7, BMW 6-Series, new VW CUV, a new Buick Convertible, a bunch of high-performance Ford products, Honda fuel cell vehicle, Infiniti Q-60, Nissan Titan pickup and about 40 more world previews. Then segments five and six, Steve and Bob indulge in some punditry talking about what is ahead for driverless cars, advances in engine technology, sales predictions, electronic wizardry in cars and alternative power trains.
