As colder weather approaches, so does the season of flu, slips and falls and other common winter ailments. Health experts from University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Lansing will help community members navigate their health care options, including when to manage symptoms at home and when to call a primary care provider, visit an urgent care or go to the emergency department.
They held an event this morning to clarify where to go for testing to avoid unnecessary ER visits and will provide specific guidance for managing illnesses like measles and whooping cough in younger patients.
We will have more details as we receive them from UMH-Sparrow.
