CARSON CITY, MI – University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Carson has awarded $1,000 scholarships to five Gratiot and Montcalm county high school students who intend to pursue higher education in a health-related field.
The scholarships are being awarded with the hope of supporting the graduates in achieving their goals and, in turn, encouraging them to assist UM Health-Sparrow Carson’s highly skilled team members in their efforts to provide leading-edge and compassionate care, close to home.
2025 UM Health-Sparrow Health Care Scholarship recipients for Gratiot and Montcalm counties are:
· Ashlynn Davis, of Six Lakes, who plans to study Nursing or Pre-Medicine at Grand Valley State University.
· Calli Heleski, of Riverdale, who plans to study Nursing at Grand Valley State University.
· Rylee McGowan, of Greenville, who plans to study Nursing at Montcalm Community College and Davenport University.
· Marla Teegardin, of Gowen, who plans to study Health Science at Montcalm Community College.
· Lainey VanHoose, of Greenville, who plans to study Health Science at Grand Valley State University.
