Chris spends some time with Laura Oblinger, Executive Director, Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce. She discusses Traverse Connect, a restructuring of the parent company, and affiliated organizations, which include her chamber. They have seen an evolution of services for the core clients of the Chamber of Commerce.

Doug Luciani now heads the parent company; Traverse Connect, while Venture North handles economic development for a 10 county region and has Laura Galbraith, Executive Director of Venture North Funding & Development. It took four years to create, but her perspective after three months in is that it’s producing tremendous results and has a strong executive team.
