Thomas Hult- International Business Center Broad College of Business MSU Professor and host of MBN’s globalEDGE Business Beat (Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m.; replay: 3 p.m., 9 p.m., 3:00 a.m.) was recently named Academy of Marketing Science/ CUTCO-Vector Distinguished Marketing Educator of the year.
The Academy of Marketing Science (AMS) recognizes a marketing scholar’s career and awards the honor each year.
Hult is well-known in the area for his connections to international business, a professor and director of the International Business Center at MSU’s Eli Broad College of Business.
“I am truly honored and delighted by the AMS Board of Governors selecting me for the 2016 AMS / CUTCO-Vector Distinguished Marketing Educator Award,” Hult said. “This award is both a humbling experience and a recognition from peers whom I admire and a field to which I am so dedicated in research, teaching, and service.”
A Broad College of Business colleague discussed Hult’s dedication and how he is deserving of the award. “This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication Tomas puts toward his research,” Sanjay Gupta said. “The broad impact his work has on the global community is immense, and we are very proud to have him as a colleague here at the Broad College of Business.”
Hult has also raised $14 million in contracts and grants for the university over the last 15 years.
Hult will accept the award on May 19 in Orlando, Florida at the AMS Annual Conference.
