Tom Kelly: New Executive Director of Automation Alley

tomkelley.jpgChris Holman welcomes the New Executive of Automation Alley, Tom Kelly. They discuss his promotion and cover the history of Automation Alley.

Ken Rogers, the long-time executive director of Troy-based Automation Alley, retired Aug. 26. The technology business association’s board of directors executive search committee selected Tom Kelly this summer to serve as the next director. Rogers was appointed to create and lead Automation Alley by Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson in 1999.

Automation Alley is Michigan’s leading technology business association, connecting companies and organizations with talent, resources and funding to accelerate innovation and fuel Southeast Michigan’s economy. Since its founding in 1999, the nonprofit has grown to include nearly 1,000 tech-focused members in businesses, education and government.  Automation Alley focuses its efforts in five areas: advanced manufacturing, defense, entrepreneurship, international business and talent development.” – Automation Alley
