Tier 1 Auto Supplier brings over 160 new jobs to Greater Lansing

 

KIRCHHOFF Van-Rob Opened its Doors in Watertown Township in 2014

LANSING, MI –

leap-logo-retina.pngThe official opening of the Tier 1 auto supplier, KIRCHHOFF Van-Rob was celebrated today after it opened its doors in Watertown Township in December 2014. This official opening marks the introduction of the 14th KIRCHHOFF Van-Rob location in North America. 

 KIRCHHOFF Automotive is a large automotive supplier with a global footprint of 30 production facilities and part of the KIRCHHOFF Group.  As leading Automotive Parts Suppliers to original equipment manufacturers of cars and light trucks they specialize in Large Structural, Interior, Chassis Components and Welded Assemblies.  Their comprehensive product range includes the design and manufacture of Instrument Panel Beams, Engine Cradles, Bulkhead Assemblies and Underbody Modular Assemblies to Body in White.  Core competencies include Forming, CNC Bending, Joining including Laser Welding of Aluminum and Steel, Hot Forming, R&D and Surface Treatment.  They specialize in the development of innovative products in lightweight design for future-vehicles.

Since late 2014, KIRCHHOFF Van-Rob has occupied an existing 11,600 square meters facility on Felton Road in Watertown Township, created over 160 local jobs and invested over $20M in capital assets with additional expansion plans. The original plan and announcement was to create 125 jobs at this location.
