UPDATES

Cans of Batch Brewing Company's latest product Güt Soda

How WSU helped this Detroit brewery and TechTown alum launch a new product

We love seeing successful collaborations between TechTown alumni and Wayne State University! Detroit brewery Batch Brewing Company recently released a prebiotic, nonalcoholic soda called Güt Soda, with the support of WSU OPEN (Opportunity, Partnership, Engagement and Network)! Batch Brewing Co. won the 2013 Hatch Detroit Contest and was a recipient of

TechTown’s Detroit Small Business Stabilization Fund in 2020. The WSU OPEN team connected Batch with the Wayne State University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, through which they used lab resources to test the soda’s caloric, carb and sugar levels. Read more about this partnership in the latest news article from our partners at WSU’s Division of Entrepreneurship & Economic Development!
