Support Bay Region Business Through “Buy BC” Gift Card Stimulus

bfiBAY, CITY, MICH.- The gift card stimulus program “Buy BC” developed by the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce and Bay Future, Inc. will go live today, June, 3, 2020 at 5:00pm. This program was made possible by the generous sponsorship of Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, Bay Future, Inc., AT&T, Bay
City Bridge Partners, Bay County Growth Alliance, Gordon Food Services, Great Lakes Bay Regional Wellness Alliance, and US Foods. This is an opportunity for community members to financially support businesses in the retail, restaurant, and service industries in Bay County who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The help of the community is needed to make this program a success! You can help by purchasing a gift card and by sharing with friends and family. Customers will be able to purchase these gift cards on a first-come-first-serve basis, with no quantity limit, until the gift cards are sold out. There will be over 4,500 gift cards available for purchase which amounts to over $125,000 injected into these Bay County businesses. Gift cards can be used after June 12, 2020.

Businesses were provided an opportunity to register for the program and over 60 Bay County small businesses in the retail, restaurant, and service industries are participating. The program will create an opportunity to engage community members in supporting local businesses by providing an additional 25 percent to the gift certificate to that same businesses at no added expense to the purchaser or business.

Customers will be able to purchase a $25 gift card for $20.

Gift cards can be purchased here.
