As fluctuating trade policies continue to disproportionately impact manufacturing-driven economies like that of the Detroit Region, the 2026 State of the Region report reveals real consequences. In 2025 alone, the Region’s manufacturing sector lost 3,000 jobs compared to the previous year. Similar trends and what they signal for the future of the Region and state are examined in depth throughout the report, which will be discussed on Wednesday March 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Chamber President and Chief Executive Officer Sandy K. Baruah will present the report’s findings, followed by insights from economic experts and business leaders who will unpack what the data reveals about the Region’s economic health and what it means for businesses operating here today and planning for what’s ahead.
Attendees will leave with timely insights and practical takeaways to help navigate economic uncertainty and make informed business decisions in the year ahead.
