Filling in for Chris Holman while at the CAR Management Briefing Seminars, Steve Purdy speaks with Peter Oklobdzija, Vice President and General Manager of OE Americas, of Johnson Controls, about the rise of the start stop technology, and that Johnson Controls is the leader and innovator of this technology with its batteries in the automobile industry.
He discusses the industry growth and their presence in the European market place as they add depth to their U.S. presence. There is real value with this technology, with minimal effect on the ozone layer. There is also a real demand for this start and stop battery technology with an anticipated expansion effort at the Toledo, Ohio plant.
