Tuesday, April 19th a groundbreaking ceremony was hosted by representatives from Spartan Motors, Inc. and Isuzu, in Charlotte, Michigan. The new plant allows for expansion of their manufacturing partnership with Isuzu to produce the new Isuzu F-Series Truck. As a result of this expansion, Spartan will be adding a new 85,000-square-foot plant representing a $5.5 million dollar investment by Spartan, and is expected to create an estimated 55 new jobs for the Charlotte area.
