MBN was on the road for the unveiling of new mobile health clinic. Sparrow, the Ingham County Health Department and Dean Transportation have combined for the past few years to offer a Mobile Health Clinic to provide free basic health services to residents in need in Ingham County. Many of the Patients had gone without those basics for years. We’re excited to unveil a new bus – entirely donor supported — that provides greatly expanded offerings and allows us to serve our entire Sparrow footprint in the Mid-Michigan region. Sparrow will work with area health departments, neighborhood centers and others, building on our strong relationship with the Ingham County Health Department. Ongoing operations of the Mobile Health program will be funded by proceeds from the 2018 Dapper Dads event, hosted by Sparrow Foundation Women Working Wonders, as well as support from individual and corporate donors. The vehicle includes exam rooms, a waiting area, additional testing equipment, and much more.
