LANSING, MI – Sparrow has been honored with a Regional Growth Award from the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce for its innovation and support of the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The honor was given during the virtual Celebration of Regional Growth Awards ceremony held Tuesday to recognize game-changing organizations and projects in the Lansing area. The Chamber specifically cited the innovative Sparrow Laboratories Drive-Thru Services site at Frandor and the overall work of Sparrow labs.

Sparrow has been a national leader in COVID-19 testing, becoming one of the first hospitals in Michigan to offer tests for inpatients and using innovative processes to increase access and availability. The Frandor drive-thru site alone has processed over 100,000 tests.

Sparrow Health System President and CEO James F. Dover received the award, saying “we accept it on behalf of our extraordinary caregivers who have been on the frontlines of the pandemic.”
