Michigan Business Network was on hand for the Sparrow MAC Shoe Drive where we caught up with the Athletics Coordinator, Mark Sanford.

Mark began the holiday shoe drive 10 years ago to help those in need through several community organizations. He expects this year’s drive to put them at over 6,000 pairs of shoes collected since 2009. Most people donate gently used athletic shoes but anything is accepted. This year, he hopes to donate at least a couple hundred pairs to five community groups. He discusses the impetus behind the shoe drive and how the community can get involved.
