o A new global day of giving on Tuesday, May 5 in response to COVID-19
o Giving Tuesday Now encourages the community to donate to health care workers, nonprofits, small businesses, and vulnerable populations · Samaritas Angel Fund
o Samaritas is hoping to receive donations to help provide vulnerable populations, such as at-risk seniors, disabled adults and homeless
families and teens, with the quality service they require
o Donations will be used to purchase essential items in the battle against COVID-19, including masks, gloves, droplet shields, gowns,
thermometers and cleaning supplies
· Samaritas has an ongoing need for volunteers and adoption/foster families during these difficult times
· Remotely recruiting foster families has been difficult, but Samaritas is holding virtual orientations and recruiting events.
