Guest co-host Travis Hayward joins Taylor Kelsaw to chat with Jason Marr, and Jonathan Walker from “Young Pioneer” who share the news of their 2nd CD “When Does the Night End“. And (at the time of streaming) upcoming show Sunday, June 10th @ The Loft, in downtown Lansing with doors opening up at 7PM. Marr and Walker are Michiganders who have played with various bands throughout their careers and they recently came together with the other members to form “Young Pioneers.” Taylor was enthusiastically pleased with the music and strongly suggests new listeners pick up the CD! We go out with their song “Playing Pretend”.
We continue with Marr and Walker who discuss the music video for the first single released off their album “Playing Pretend”. Walker, who moved to Nashville to pursue his career, has played in many bands and that past friendship, and reconnection with former band mates helped to create “Young Pioneers”. Marr, who just recently joined, also has a vast background in bands over the last 9 years, and his for band “Lights and Caves”, former guests of “Show Biz Weekly” spent 4 years together before calling quits earlier this year. “Young Pioneers” song “Last Words” closes out the segment.
We hear from Jonathan who shares what it’s like to play live. “The moment you see strangers singing the words of your songs out of their mouths, is just an incredible feeling” What’s the future hold for “Young Pioneers”… Their 3rd CD is in preproduction.
