The U.S. government’s receipts are up for the first half of the fiscal year, but don’t thank corporate taxes. In its latest budget statement, the Treasury Department said corporate income taxes have declined by 8% for the fiscal year to date.
More Americans were hired to start a new job in February than in any month since before the recession that began in 2007-about 5.4 million people.
