Steve Purdy talks with Bob Ashley, who drove down from his home in Holland, to join me in studio. We begin by talking about the CGI Racing School programs and his history as an instructor, the GingerMan track, on-track skills, the cars we drove (particularly the Hellcat we spent most of our time pushing around the track), track safety and the thrill of driving at speed.
Then we explored some of Bob’s personal history as an artist, designer, cartoonist, photographer, writer, stand-up comic and even sculptor. He is also working on some off-beat automotive video stories in the style of Jeremy Clarkson, and developing a cartoon strip focused on seniors. Bob has such a fascinating variety of talents and projects you’ll want to take a look at. Go to www.bobashleydesigner.com.
