She shared that the Public has the opportunity to drop off unwanted prescription pills Feb. 16 at LAFCU Mason, South Lansing branches through Sheriff Office partnership

This is a Prescription Pill Drop-off in Ingham County, Michigan as the public is will be dropping off unused and expired prescription pills.
Friday, Feb. 16 11 a.m.-noon LAFCU Mason Branch, 750 S. Cedar St., Mason and then
                         1-2 p.m. LAFCU South Lansing Branch, 1112 Keystone Ave., Lansing

LAFCU is concerned about the health of the communities it serves and has partnered with the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office to offer convenient locations for the people to drop-off their unwanted prescription pills. The event goal is to get unwanted highly addictive opiates and other narcotics out of the reach of young people and others who might have unintended access to them.

The sheriff and a deputy will be at each location with a mobile collection box. They will accept prescription pills only – no liquids, syringes, inhalers or over-the-counter medication. There will be no inspection, questioning or investigation of any participants or medication.
