Introducing Detroit’s KOLLECTIVE Cohort

Pure Michigan Business Connect (PMBC) is proud to announce the first cohort participating in the KOLLECTIVE program for growing brands.

The KOLLECTIVE offers a world-class experience that connects top emerging talent from the Detroit region to business growth resources including subsidized retail and maker space, mentorship through an expert ecosystem and relevant technical resources. At the end of each cohort, brands will walk away with mentorship for sales training, visual merchandising, product marketing, sales revenue from their product and facilitated connections to experts in the industry.

During this quarter, we welcomed the following brands and hope you will stop by and shop small this holiday season! If you are a Michigan apparel, accessories or sewn goods brand interested in the next cohort that will begin in January 2024, an application is now open.

In recognition of Manufacturing Month, PMBC would like to recognize Great Lakes Sound & Vibration (GLSV) of Houghton County in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula (U.P.), a growing manufacturer in the defense solutions space, who is finding success as a small town business with a worldwide impact. GLSV has utilized various programs and service providers from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) for several years, finding assistance at key points in the company’s growth. These resources have helped the multi-functional engineering company to find new markets, expand in the U.P. and better its business.
