Chris catches up with Brad Williams, Vice President of Government Relations, Detroit Regional Chamber, Detroit, MI. Summer is still a busy time in government relations, and this year in particular for Michigan, because of road funding.
The Detroit Chamber has released a list of five principles they see as vital in the roads decision; funded by the users, be a long-term solution, contain new revenue, be mindful of the various other forms of transportation which serve the state, and that it be done quickly, but right. They then drill down a little on Governor Snyder’s original transportation proposal, along with discussing the challenges facing the system, and the legislators.
