This senior position will be the lead policy staffer for the department’s Office of Future Mobility & Electrification (OFME) and play a significant role in developing, executing, and implementing innovative policies that keep Michigan at the forefront of the mobility sector.

Michigan Enters Partnership to Bring “Truck Stop of the Future” to Life
Michigan has launched the Mobility Charging Hub, a prototype program focused on advancing the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) and transforming truck stops. With $13 million in funding, the Mobility Charging Hub will serve as an innovation hub for commercial EV charging and value-added services which aim to modernize the truck stop experience, test new technologies and business models, and accelerate the deployment of commercial EVs at scale.
With $8,500,000 in federal funding support from a Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) grant award to LEO, OFME will also establish a grant program through the Mobility Charging Hub that will help fund future activations onsite.

MightyFly Wins MMFP Grant to Support Autonomous Cargo Delivery
San Francisco-based MightyFly has been awarded a $150,000 grant from the Michigan Mobility Funding Platform (MMFP) to showcase its autonomous cargo delivery capabilities in Michigan. The grant will support the demonstration of MightyFly’s third-generation autonomous cargo aircraft, designed to carry up to 100 pounds of cargo. MightyFly aims to transform logistics by offering affordable and same-day shipping services for industries like manufacturing and retail.
