DETROIT, MI –This weekend the Metro-Detroit Central Labor Council held its 24th Constitutional Convention, attended by union members across the region. The event included messages from Michigan AFL-CIO President Ron Bieber, and a keynote address from AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler. The convention elected members to its Executive Council and re-elected Daryl Newman, AFT Michigan, as President and Jeannette Bradshaw, IBEW 58, as Secretary-Treasurer.
Delegates elected the following Unity Slate unanimously:

Other members elected at the Convention will serve as Trustees and Members at Large for the council.
