New Polling Data Shows Michigan Voters Are Ready for an Independent Governor

MBN: DRCDETROIT, February 6, 2025 — Michigan voters have spoken and the message is clear: it is time for leadership that breaks free from party lines.

The Detroit Regional Chamber commissioned a wide ranging poll. The poll showed 63 percent of voters believe Michigan should elect an independent Governor that is not affiliated with either party.

The results of the Chamber’s poll is further proof that an Independent candidate for Governor can win in Michigan.

“This poll confirms what people across the state already know—the two-party system is broken, and doing the same thing over and over again isn’t delivering results,” Mike Duggan, Independent candidate for governor, said. “Michigan is ready for a leader who can unite people to work together and get things done. They’re ready for an Independent governor. I look forward to being that governor for the state of Michigan, the one who leads with action and puts people over politics.”
