Northville, Mich. — Family-owned, and passionately independent, Música Tequila is dialing up the energy with the launch of a highly anticipated, music genre-inspired limited-edition release ahead of the Detroit’s Movement Festival, which will be held May 23-25. The 100% agave, all-natural brand will debut Techno Plata Reserva on May 22, a high-proof, two-barrel tequila crafted as a tribute to Detroit’s techno roots.
Following the success of last year’s Blues Reserva Añejo Limited Edition, the new release will be limited to just 600 individually numbered bottles, reinforcing commitment to small-batched craftsmanship and music genre-inspired products.
Techno Plata Reserva, reflecting the brand’s dual devotion to music and tequila-making, honors Detroit’s influence as the birthplace of techno while celebrating the global movement it continues to inspire.

Inspired by that legacy, Music Spirits created Techno Plata Reserva Tequila — capturing the energy and essence of Detroit techno in a bold, expressive spirit.
“Born from our Detroit techno roots, this expression fuses the raw energy of techno with the spirit of Jalisco,” Andrews said, “We’re creating a tequila that moves with sound, soul and drive of techno.”
At the distillery, Música Tequila integrates its signature Música Audio — rooted in the Mozart-effect — using sound vibrations during fermentation and aging to influence the spirit’s development. Crafted from a select blanco and lightly rested in oak barrels, the result is a layered high-proof plata that is bold, complex, and exceptionally smooth.
