The Mass Transportation Authority (MTA) is pleased to announce the Grand Opening/Dedication of the Michael J. Zelley Training and Development Center.
The ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 9:30 am at 1700 S. Dort Hwy., Flint. (Corner of Dort Hwy. and Lapeer Rd.)
The new Michael J. Zelley Training and Development Center will provide a positive learning culture that will enhance skills, job performance, and include safety training and advancement opportunities through continuous, structured, and relevant training in public transportation for both new hires and current employees.
“Michael Zelley was a great leader and foremost advocate for persons with disabilities in our community. He also stressed how important ADA training was in transit and all facets of life. The new Training Center will allow us to carry out our mission and prepare all those who train in the facility.” CEO Ed Benning
