Amid COVID-19 Pandemic, A message from Middle Michigan Development Corporation’s Jim McBryde
As many of you may know, the Michigan Small Business Restart Program is now open and the deadline for applying is August 5th. Middle Michigan Development Corporation is administering this $3.5 million program for the counties of Arenac, Clare, Gladwin, Gratiot, Isabella and Midland. I have included a very helpful Frequently Asked Questions document which will answer most if not all questions you may have regarding this program. However, I would like to emphasize several highlights as follows:
- Applications must be made on the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) website at: www.michiganbusiness.org/restart
- Businesses and Non-Profits that received grant or loan funds from the Payroll Protection Program (PPP), Match on Main Program, Michigan Small Business Relief Program Loans and other similar programs ARE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS PROGRAM.
- In addition, Businesses and Non-Profits that received Michigan Small Business Relief Program Grants ALSO ARE ELIGIBLE due to fast-track legislation currently going through the Michigan Legislature.
- MANUFACTURERS ARE ELIGIBLE for this program if they have 50 or less employees.
I am writing this to you since there has been much confusion about who is eligible for this program. Please review the attached FAQ document and feel free to call me if you have any questions.
Please stay safe!
Jim
