RFQ Opportunity DUE JAN. 26!
The City of Mt. Pleasant, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Isabella County, is seeking a qualified development partner for a mixed-income housing project on a 12-acre site located at Crosslanes Street, in the Northeast Mt. Pleasant neighborhood.
This opportunity supports both market-rate and affordable housing and is backed by public infrastructure funding, predevelopment assistance, and affordable housing program resources, pending approval.
Mt. Pleasant continues to see growing housing demand, with Bowen National Research (2025) identifying a citywide housing gap of 1,529 units across rental and for-sale housing.
Submission requirements and evaluation criteria are outlined in the Request for Qualifications.
Submissions must be mailed in and received by 1:30 p.m. on Monday, January 26, 2026.
Qualified developers are encouraged to review the RFQ and consider partnering with the City to address local housing needs.
