By spending $1 Billion a year on security, Microsoft went from worst to best. Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella, has a goal to make Microsoft products more secure against hackers, malware and other threats.
This initial budget includes acquisitions, hiring new executives, building a state of the art facility, and creating a new security group within Microsoft. The new facility is called the Cyber Defense Operations Center, which will monitor security threats 24×7. The new group inside Microsoft will be known as the Microsoft Enterprise Cybersecurity Group (ECG) and it will house Microsoft security professionals.
