Here’s some additional information for after you’ve listened to the podcast.
Ingham County Department of Health and Human Services, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, Lansing Police and Fire, and Capital Area Michigan Works! are coming together to host an in-person job fair on Thursday, May 19, 2022, 10 am – 2 pm.
The spring job fair will be held in the rear parking lot of the Ingham County Human Services Building located at 5303 S. Cedar St., Lansing.
All employers have openings with starting wages of $15 an hour and will be from a variety of industries, including manufacturing, childcare, health care, transportation industries, and more. There will be over 150 positions promoted and available to job seekers.
Employers attending include:
· CAPCAN |
· Target |
· AF Group/Emergent Holdings |
In the spirit of making the job fair a community-oriented event, Lansing Police and Fire Departments will be providing hot dogs in addition to other snacks and refreshments. Job seekers who are interested in employment with one of the above organizations should plan to bring copies of their resume and photo ID and dress for success. And keep an eye out for my column next week, which will include information about how to prepare for a job fair and additional resources. Employers can connect with Rebecca Meszaros via email at MeszarosR@michigan.gov if they’re interested in participating. |
