Strengthening Michigan–Israel Defense Ties in Washington, D.C.

October was a dynamic month for MIBA as we joined two major defense innovation events—AUSA and the CET Sandbox Delegation—to strengthen Michigan’s role in the global defense ecosystem. At AUSA, the largest annual gathering of the U.S. Army and its partners, MIBA helped connect Israeli defense innovators with opportunities in Michigan’s advanced manufacturing and R&D sectors. Later, the CET Sandbox brought 20 Israeli startups to D.C. for high-level discussions on U.S. market integration, offering Michigan a front-row seat to the next generation of defense technologies.  Read more ➝

Elevating Innovation: Michigan’s Advantage

Michigan is placing itself at the forefront of advanced mobility innovation with the launch of the ‎AAM Statewide Mobility Challenges by the Michigan Office of Future Mobility and Electrification (OFME). These challenge-based pilot programs invite companies to submit transformative solutions leveraging advanced air mobility (AAM) technologies to solve real-world problems faced by state agencies—from drone detection, wildfire monitoring, to connected vehicle and aerial data platforms.  Read about this program and other great opportunities in Michigan here.
