Autonomous and connected vehicles have become a top priority for the automotive industry, and Michigan is a leader in this movement.

On July 2, 2020, Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced the formal launch of the Office of Future Mobility and Electrification (OFME) in the state of Michigan. OFME focuses on six objectives including increasing mobility investment in the state, expanding Michigan’s smart infrastructure, engaging with mobility startups, further enabling Michigan’s mobility workforce, accelerating electric vehicle adoption in Michigan and bolstering Michigan’s mobility manufacturing corporations. In conjunction with key testing assets like American Center for Mobility, the state of Michigan continues to be a leader in driving mobility development forward.

    During the webinar, you’ll:

    • Hear from representatives from the State of Michigan and the Office of Future Mobility and Electrification about why Michigan can be your conduit to the North American automotive market.
    • Learn how Michigan has supported two U.K. mobility companies in finding success in this market and why you should be here as well.
    • Take the opportunity to ask questions about how you can get connected to the Michigan mobility ecosystem.

For more information on investing in the Michigan market, please contact Vlatko Tomic-Bobas, MEDC’s Investment Promotion Director for Europe, at tomic-bobasv@michigan.org.
