MEDC | PMBC Supplier Applications Open for Virtual Matchmaking and Pitch Competition Events

Are you a supplier looking for new opportunities? PMBC has partnered with Wayne State University (WSU) to hold the 2021 WSU Supplier Matchmaking Day on Tuesday, January 26th from 9:00am-3:00pm. This one-day virtual event will provide suppliers an:

  • In-depth introduction to the WSU procurement process
  • Understanding of how to connect with each of the five participating WSU purchasing units
  • Opportunity to hear from resource partners on services for diverse suppliers

Qualified suppliers will be invited to 1:1 meetings with purchasing units hosted through the Zoom platform following the webinar. Active WSU purchasing needs are listed in a supplier application that is required for participation in meetings. Applications are due by January 15. Please note that all suppliers may not be selected for 1:1 meetings, but will be able to participate in the webinar.

Upper Peninsula Food Processing Support Program Pitch Competition

The Upper Michigan Food Processing Support Program, hosted by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, in partnership with the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Small Business Development Center, Michigan State University Product Center, and U.P. Food Exchange are seeking food businesses looking for support or to scale up their operations.

Selected finalists will be invited to participate in a virtual pitch competition on February 23, 2021, with awardees provided customized support services that may include:

  • Strategic Business Development
  • Production and Processing Space
  • Buyer Connections
  • Graphic Design & Logo Creation
  • Website/E-Commerce Development
  • Photography & Video Production
  • Systems Audit

    *Selected awardees may not receive all support services. Service packages will be based on awardee’s unique needs.

    Applications must be completed by January 25.
