Putting Values into Practice to Prioritize Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
As an organization, we at MEDC are looking inward to ensure our own practices and policies reflect our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion of all kinds. In doing so we have created the Programs and Services Workgroup, to ensure that MEDC programs and services are offered in a way that provides equitable opportunity and ease of access to the businesses and communities that we serve. Michigan is an incredibly diverse state, and our PMBC team is dedicated to the progress and prosperity of diverse-owned businesses, emerging developers and geographically disadvantaged areas. Creating Opportunities for Equality Along the Supply Chain
Throughout the year PMBC is committed to supplier diversity efforts, prioritizing opportunities for minority-owned businesses to access procurement opportunities. Our valued partnerships with the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council and the National Business League are critical in providing businesses collaborative resources that results in a wider, stronger supply chain increasing competition and generating new innovations, services and products.
