The MEDC along with a partner network*, are hosting an Upper Peninsula Food Processing Support webinar on Thursday, December 10th. The virtual event will feature highlights from the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Taste the Local Difference, and the MSU Product Center, followed by a Fireside Chat with Mike Smits, President, Great Lakes Foods, and Donna LaCourt, Economic/Community Development Specialist, Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development (MDARD).
Objectives
- Provide attendees with a high-level understanding of the resources our partners can provide regarding food processing
- Learn about Great Lakes Foods requirements to be able to accept regional food products into their distribution network
- Learn about the 2021 Upper Peninsula Food Processing Support Pitch Competition
