MEDC logoState Continues Driving Long-Term Economic Growth Through Business, Placemaking Efforts

The Michigan Strategic Fund approved a number of projects this week, including redevelopment of the former Buick City site in Flint, a business expansion by Michigan Automotive Compressor, Inc., an auto supplier in Parma, a new performing arts center in downtown Lansing, and other actions that reinforce Michigan’s commitment to providing long-term economic growth by highlighting the strength of the state’s talented workforce and its leadership positions in advanced manufacturing and future mobility. The approved projects represent a total capital investment of $116.5 million.

Economic Opportunity and Pure Michigan Lifestyle Attract Talent Throughout the State
 
 

Michigan communities large and small are growing in population thanks to strong economic opportunity and a Pure Michigan quality of life that helps attract and retain talent. The latest city-level data from the U.S. Census Bureau shows Michigan experienced population growth between 2010 and 2020 across the state.
