Michigan secured continued support for its HUBZones from the Small Business Administration, including saving seven regions from the chopping block.

What it means: Small businesses in those areas get to keep their ability to bid on set-aside contracts and receive preference over non-members for cost evaluations.

Now you know: Over $219 million in contracts went to 59 Michigan HUBZone businesses in fiscal year 2021.
