Pure Michigan Mix fans have the chance to win concert tickets, park passes and more to celebrate Michigan fun
MICHIGAN – (July 12, 2023) – Michigan’s summer road trip season is in full swing. Whether you’re heading to a festival, a ballpark, one of the state’s vibrant downtowns or sparkling beaches, or pitching a tent at one of Michigan’s state parks, McDonald’s wants to help you celebrate Michigan’s summer as you hit the road. The Golden Arches have teamed up with Pure Michigan and The Coca-Cola Company to offer the brand-new frozen ‘Pure Michigan Mix’ beverage, helping travelers beat the heat with a chill as they explore Michigan’s two peninsulas.
The ‘Pure Michigan Mix’ blends Fanta® Blue Raspberry and Sprite® Lymonade into a frozen beverage meant to be enjoyed while enjoying Michigan’s refreshing summer sights and attractions. And, with more than 500 McDonald’s restaurants from the Motor City to the Soo Locks and everywhere in between, there are multiple options to enjoy this special drink.
Fans who purchase the ‘Pure Michigan Mix’ will have the chance to score access to some of the biggest events of the summer. Scanning the QR code on the exclusive 22-ounce cup of the ‘Pure Michigan Mix’ could land fans Pine Knob or Little Caesars Arena concert tickets, passes to the Michigan International Speedway, tickets to Michigan’s Adventure Amusement Park, or a McDonald’s Arch Card.
To help launch the new product, McDonald’s, The Coca-Cola Company, and Pure Michigan are hosting a series of ‘First Pour Ceremonies’ at McDonald’s restaurants in Detroit, Flint, Traverse City, St. Ignace, and Port Huron this week. The events will feature city leaders as well as tourism industry representatives from across each region. Events in Traverse City, St. Ignace, and Port Huron took place Tuesday.
“McDonald’s is proud to serve Michigan residents and travelers at 506 locations throughout the state,” said Jeff Stanton, McDonald’s of Michigan Owner/Operators Business Association President. “Whether you are traveling from Coldwater to Sault Ste. Marie or Port Huron to Holland, there is a McDonald’s open and ready to help you feel comfortable along the way with the freshest foods and most vibrant drink flavors that truly make exploring the Great Lakes state worth every mile.”
“The Pure Michigan Mix collaboration between McDonald’s, The Coca-Cola Company and Pure Michigan is a celebration of the summer experiences and attractions that only Michigan can offer its travelers,” added Stanton.
“We couldn’t be more excited to partner with McDonald’s and Pure Michigan to help celebrate summer with the Pure Michigan Mix frozen drink,” said Brian Stetler, U.S. Account Director for The Coca-Cola Company. “The Coca-Cola Company is proud to know that this new mix will help fuel all of the fun and excitement that comes with a summer in Michigan.”
