LANSING — The Michigan Catastrophic Claims Association (MCCA) launched a new website today that takes its commitment to transparency and accountability to the next level. With a wealth of resources for consumers and policymakers, the new site provides accurate, up-to-date, and comprehensive information regarding the association and its impact on auto insurance in Michigan.

“We take our commitment to being transparent and accessible very seriously,” said Kimberly Bezy, executive director of the MCCA. “We strive to be a helpful resource to all Michiganders, and we encourage them to visit our new website to learn more about the MCCA’s important role in our state.”

The new MCCA website includes important information about the association and its history, financial reports, resources for consumers and policymakers highlighting how the MCCA benefits Michiganders, and more.

The MCCA was created by the Michigan Legislature to enable insurance companies to provide Michigan’s one-of-a-kind unlimited lifetime Personal Injury Protection (PIP) coverage that pays for the medical care of those who have been catastrophically injured in auto accidents. Michigan is the only state in the country to have an entity like the MCCA, because Michigan is the only state in the country to offer unlimited PIP coverage.
