Taylor Kelsaw and Michael McCallum talk with Master Faett, Sixth Degree Black Belt Master of Taekwondo, about how martial arts can be helpful to children and families. Master Faett got started in martial arts at the age of seven, and he feels it saved him from a life that could have gone very badly. He offers advice and direction and shares the “word of the show,” Confidence! Confidence makes the difference when applying yourself in the arts. Taylor shares his experiences in training in martial arts as a child, with Bruce Lee, when he lived in Oakland, California.
Master Faett explains that he is also a black belt in Krav Maga and teaches this form at Victory Martial Arts, in Okemos, Michigan.
Taylor shares how martial arts training helped save his life when he was working as a bank teller and was held up by five men.
